Maybe but I don't think so, I blame both sides for plenty.
I find that funny, this country is over 200 years old and we have never had a problem with this until the last 45 years or so. First of all I have said nothing about the state sponsoring any kind of religion.
Second of all no one should have a problem with prayer before or after a football game if those participating choose to do so. It should be up to the individual not up to the feds or the state. You are not understanding but then again is it impossible to give all the details in our conversation here. We each could be typing the details for days of what we mean.
Well I know how oppressive the government has become. I have said both sides are responsible but the left are worse at least for now. I don't know how any more moderate that can be. We disagree.
Respectfully speaking, my patience has run out here. I have no more time for debate or politics. I have gone on out of respect to you and others here.
If I could I would leave this country, buy an Island somewhere and get the hell out of this country before chit hits the fan. Our deft and deficits are more than GDP. I am expecting a collapse similar or worse than the Great Depression. I see Politicians just like many Americans. They don't give a chit about their country, they just want their piece of the pie.
JFK once said ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. This is all you have to know about America today including his own party, The Democrat Party that is fast becoming anything but the Democrat Party that Thomas Jefferson stood for. They are definitely heading socialist, we just disagree on these issues and we aint changing our minds so why bother?
Its not hard to figure, The Constitution and the founders were to the right of the Democrat party of today and some of the Republican Party.
The Constitution, Bill of Rights, First, Second, etc Amendments mean what they say back then not today. The founders believed in a limited Federal government, they believed in armed militias of Americans to protect ourselves from the Tyranny we now have in Washington DC today.
Both sides are badly corrupt, I see no fixing anything, Our government is broken and will continue to destroy this country and the wealth we once had.
The American people only have themselves to blame.
I'm sorry, I probably shouldn't have written half of this but I am done until a later time, I need a break from politics, these types of topics, see you in the Den and I always enjoy talking to you and my friends here!

Wrong on many levels. SS is not insurance. SS is not collective ownership. By your definition, anything paid for with taxes is socialism. Ridiculous. Taxes exist in every know form of government.

You are lying. I have never once said that.

There is no place out there that is better and you know it.

And the Republican party is definitely not the party of Abraham Lincoln, they are heading towards fascism.

You take politics too seriously. They shouldn't stress you.

sdman, red is right, you cant let this stuff get to you, and stress you out. we could be 2x worse of a nation and the framework would still be there for us to be happy. we are really lucky to live here.
