i know your question is rhetorical and you are saying that we are threatening iran. presumably your point is that the existence of these military bases is a threat. youa re wrong. we have no intention to atack iran unless they deserve it and there is no evidence to the contrary. also i dunno why you truther types like to pretend like you are asking questions when youa re making assertions. it seems pointless.
I read the thread title and all I could think of was this... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoPVC4YxDlI"]Are you threatening me? (Beavis) - YouTube[/ame] Sorry, carry on.

All of those countries that have US military bases have a want to have US military bases. We are not were we are not wanted...except by Iran.
It's called a "presence". If you cannot understand the reason and the need for them to be there then there is no point in trying to explain it to you. Typical Ron Paul philosophy. Ignore them or be nice to them and they'll go away. Naivete at it's highest.
My first thought is we do need a presence over there but we do not nor can we afford to have that many bases over there. My next thought is Obama objects to the Senate passing sanctions? Why does it always seem like Obama is siding with Iran, that he supports our enemies and craps on our allies? From his speech the other day? Why does he have such a different view of America and what it should be? I apologize Rex, I am not trying to change the subject here but I am just surprised by Obama objecting and ignoring everything with Iran.
