I would like to see us play Iwoa and hand them a loss for the 2005 game! Who do yall think we have a better chance of beating?
not sure who we have a better chance of beating, probably Iowa, but I'd rather play Penn State just because of their tradition. It just sounds like a more exciting matchup to me.
Where in Lake Charles do you live? I moved to Moss Bluff from Denham when I was 12 and played football at Sam Houston.
South Lake Charles, moved from South Ryan area a little over a year ago. No football for me, not organized anyway. Soccer and track in high school from 96 to 99.
I want a piece of Iowa. I haven't forgotten the hail mary in the 2005 Capital One Bowl Game either. I want a piece of those bastards like you wouldn't believe. ....plus, believe it or not....there is an Iowa fan in my office. He reminds me of that bowl game quite regularly and says stuff like "the SEC is overrated" and "Iowa would beat LSU down" and crap like that. PLEASE give LSU a piece of Iowa.....pleeeeease. !twocrystals!:miles:
Ditto on that thought, but I like the angle of what happens to teams after we are done with them in bowls. Maybe we could expedite Joe Pa's retirement.
no disrespect to hawker, but i've never seen us play penn st before. however, if we do draw iowa, i'll be looking for payback.
If we were to beat Iowa, would Miles get credit for doing what Saban could not?? Unlikely...:hihi: Personally I would prefer Penn St. I have a couple of close friends and a business partner that are fans. Funny thing is, they have always stated they never wanted to play us. And they all feel like they are walking into a chainsaw if they have to play LSU this year. They must not have gotten the memo that Miles is a zombie that can't coach. Don't tell them...
If we play Iowa, we get to dish out some payback for our last bowl loss. If we play Penn State, we get to play against "The greatest coach ever." Plus they have a big tradition up there, and it would be great to take a part in shattering it. Also, I'd love to see Holliday run into JoePa, instead of an assistant.
