The thing that is the most frustrating for me, is the polarization this causes with the fans. Not necessarily on this board, but in other places you've got everything from people being glad JJ's not going to be the starter, people wanting Mett starting, people wanting to see JJ crucified for what he "allegedly" did, calling him garbage, etc. It seems to me there are very few objective views of this whole incident out there..

I think that if in fact he did what he's accused of, he should be punished. To what extent is to be decided by the courts, not me. But beyond that, I still respect him for his efforts toward the LSU football team and I sincerely hope he can put it all behind him and move forward in life. I feel kind of bad for the guy, and seeing as he's never had any record of misbehaving, being violent, getting into trouble, I think this is probably an isolated occurrence. Somebody, or something, had to have pushed him to act in the way he did and in the moment, he snapped (allegedly). I don't know about everyone else, but I've done things I wish I could take back after the fact.. Some stupid things. Am I a bad person? Most that know me personally will tell you that I'm not. People screw up sometimes, and all it takes is a fraction of a second to change your whole life.

There's another former player that made a mistake several years ago that I've come to know personally, and I can tell you that he's good as gold. Genuinely one of the nicest and most grounded people I know. He just made a bad bad decision back then that cost him dearly. But the guy is as good of a guy as you'd ever want to know.

I still want Unglesby to lay out the events for us, from the player's perspective. I assume there is video from inside the bar to be seen. One employee's version has the truck driving up after the fracas was under way, which may support why more players got involved. The employee's and player's version of what went on may be better supported after all the evidence is presented. However, I still lean towards my theory that JJ may have been a bystandard, but for somereason decided to jump in and kick that kid, which was a big mistake.

This has been my stance all along...if there were somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 LSU players there, how in the WORLD did not ONE step in and stop this from happening?

We've all gone out to bars in college, and all congregated in the parking lot post 2:00A to decide where the late night party was. More often than not, bad chit happens in that 30-45 minute window. I've seen it time, after time, after time.

How could one player, such as T-Bob's big a*s, not grab 3 players half his size (Jefferson, Johns, and Landry) and throw them out of the way (Davenport is a different story but you get my drift) to prevent the fight from ever taking place. We know for a fact T-Bob was there.

I hope there are a lot of players looking themselves in the mirror and apologizing to the entire team for not having one another's back that night...and I'm not talking about participating in the brawl but from keeping it from ever happening in the first place. THAT is the definition of having your teammates back.

Cracked vetebrae. It could be pre-existing from another brawl. No way to know without some investigation into his prior medical history. If there is no neurological involvement, it sounds a lot worse than it is.

Laying out your defense in the press would be the same as if Les Miles sends all the video of this weeks practice to Oregon along with a copy of the game plan.

attorneys want to keep their opposition guessing too.

I want to focus on Oregon, but I'll follow this melodrama avidly when it comes to trial or whatever.
