Except slightly better off. Crowton just didn't get it done.. and our OL was not coached up at all. New assistants/OC may buy Miles another year or two if it does as much as good as I think it will.
If he is as good as gone, would it happen this week, or after the season? If now, does CLM take over as interim OC for the Arky and bowl game? :geauxtige
Not sure what you mean by this (and I'm not picking a fight). Wouldn't CLM be under some pressure from the AD to find a better option? :geauxtige
If I had to guess.. it will be done in the same manner as the co-DCs were. Behind closed doors, giving him a graceful out and a new coordinating/HC job.
He had Jimbo. They fought over control. He has Crowton, they fight over control. What makes you think there would be any difference with anyone else?? There aren't really many better OC's than those two. The ones that are better are either already head coaches, or in line to become head coaches.
Makes sense. The thing is, as the head coach, isn't it customary at times to overrule play calls? In this case, if CLM wanted to run the ball when we had the first down at the 32, and there is a strong likelihood we can win the game by setting up for a FG attempt, wouldn't he overrule Crowton? I don't understand in that situation why he wouldn't. That wasn't the time to get fancy throwing the ball. :geauxtige :geauxtige
I wonder which reputable assistant would want to coach for him. What could coaching for Les Miles do for a resume?
