I think the writer is wrong about that. Last week the ESPN sideline reporter mentioned that the crowd was so loud that the papers in her hand were vibrating. Other people have said the noise in TS was so loud that it felt like a train was passing close by.

When noise becomes a physical thing, I think that qualifies as "deaf minus three."

these guys think they are playing Ole Miss!!

    it's a Tiger Baby - a BIG Tiger!!!

Close your eyes and imagine the scene at 9 p.m. ET Saturday when the Mountaineers step onto the field and see Tiger Stadium transformed into a blast furnace full of raw meat and gunpowder. Now imagine West Virginia silencing the crowd. Dating back to a 2000 Music City Bowl win over Ole Miss, the Mountaineers have harvested five scalps in their last six games against SEC competition.

I dont get it.....what is the correlation b/w raw meat and gunpowder.... and topping it off with silencing TS.

While he is very right a few points, he ignores one important fact: the home team feeds off the energy vibe. There is a reason the defense sits there and waves their arms for the crowd. They LOVE it. 90k are cheering for them.

Bill Stewart's team is 1-1 against Auburn. They jumped out to a 21-10 lead in the first quarter at Jordan Hare stadium and still effing lost.

Rich Rodriguez is 4-0 vs the SEC.

They seem rather confident, don't they?

Wonder how long it will take them to get their hearing back?

    Sunday for church?

Will they be able to enjoy the Dexter season premiere Sunday night?

What about "The Event" on Monday night.

too bad TV doesn't use hand signals. :geaux:
