Wow, those figures are incredible. Just more evidence of how rabid SEC fb fans are.

Fios brings another 5.3 million in. Charter would account for another 4.4 million.

All that would leave would be your smaller local telephone/cable companies in rural areas.

Fios is a huge provider in Dallas/Ft. Worth. With A & M being in the SEC, I would've figured this would be a no-brainer, but so far, nothing...

We never have wind and weather in Louisiana :D I had Direct TV about 10 years ago and the signal went out every time a cloud passed over. I was watching a fight one time when the signal went out. By the time the signal came back on the fight was over. I don't know but I assume that their signal is better now

Do you have any info on that announcement. I currently have Charter and have been exploring options because there hadn't been any word they're planning to carry it.

Last hurricane that passed through, all cox customers were down for at least 4 days. I was sitting pretty with pretty much no interruption in signal.

I spoke with a friend of mine in Spartanburg, SC last night and he said the customer service department there said Charter would be "live on the 14th."

One of the reasons I thought Comcast customers were making much ado about nothing several weeks ago was due to the Houston area and Comcast being one of the major providers in that area. I couldn't see them allowing a major customer change with U-verse (as one example) in the area as well.

As I recall, the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is predominantly Time Warner, isn't it? Charter is in that area as well as Comcast as I recall.

Here's what sticks out to me the most. Out of the major IPTV providers (U-verse, Google Fiber, Century Link, etc.) Fios is the only one that's not onboard. I know they were "in negotiations," and the idea they don't get it worked out seems implausible.

(I've come to the opinion/conclusion that a lot of people saw Direct TV and the PAC12 network fight and still remain in negotiations and they've translated that fear onto the SECN. I don't believe it's a fair comparison.)
