Just to show you how good his story will be if he plays well and leads LSU to some wins this year. I heard this from a friend, but I was told that Las Vegas put the odds at 28,000-1 that he would be the LSU starter at any point during his career when he walked onto the team. I do not know if that is accurate or where the number came from, but a lot of dominos did need to fall. As a walk-on, he needed to: 1. beat out all the other walk-ons at QB 2. Play well enough on scout team to where the coaches noticed you more than the scholarship players 3. Beat out 4-star Jarrett Lee 4. Have something happen to Ryan Perrilloux 5. Stay healthy 6. Stay committed and not get frustrated after the long hours of doing all the work the scholarship guys do and get not nearly the credit, etc...
Wow, does Vegas really cover action on if a guy will be a starter?? Anyway, your point is excellent. This guy will have accomplished a ton if he ends up as our QB. Good luck to him!!
Sweet. I took a second mortgage on the house to drop 100k on that 28000:1 shot a couple years back. Almost forgot about that. Should net me a cool 2.8 billion if he starts. I bet I'll be able to get deceit seats to the Bama game now.
My uncle, who is a bookie said he has never seen odds out like that on college players. And he knows his stuff about gambling I tell ya.
You don't want that nasty little .8 hangin on the end of that number... I'll take care of that part for ya... for no charge, at that! :thumb:
they might not have actually put it on the board. might have just made the odds of it all just for fun. I don't know. Just repeating what a friend of mine told me.
