I agree Dubya was a fuck up. He was the worst president of all time. Doesn't excuse Obama's administration from this.

It doesn't. Obama could mow down 255 little old ladies crossing the street to attend church and these tards would still say "Oh yeah, well bush lied about wmd's" its pathetic.

He could also help them all across the street and people would say he is just trying to get publicity and he is a demon. So it works both ways. Doesn't excuse his administration for this shit though.

If Bush get raked over the coals for lying about WMD this administration should get raked over the coals for lying about how we should go back to bed, your government is in control.

Don't be so gullible. You forgot to note a key paragraph, which you should always look for.

That’s according to 11 individuals who are knowledgeable about the details of the report and who spoke to The Daily Beast on condition of anonymity.

If there is a real problem, the complaints will go through procedure and be dealt with officially. But when "intelligence analysts" are leaking information to the press it is for political reasons, pure and simple. And sometimes it turns out to be phony information, as the New York times found out.

So basically you are saying these anonymous individuals are doing this purely because they dislike the Obama administration?

I guess that is plausible but my distrust for government, blue or red, really makes me think there is fire behind this smoke.

It's more likely they want to remain anonymous because they fear the repercussions and retributions that could rain down on them if they were to be exposed.

Right, the government isn't kind to whistle blowers.

Not necessarily. Reporters with an agenda sometimes hear what they want to hear (see New York Times). Intelligence reports, in fact all government reports, being changed by higher-ups is a relatively common complaint (see Bush WMD intelligence, and the Official 9/11 Report). Sometimes it might be for political reasons, depending on how high up the change happened. Sometimes it is because higher-level intelligence officers have access to more reports from all over and know better what the big picture is.

If there is a real scandal then some people should take an open stand. But anonymous leaks are always slanted to the viewpoint of the leaker, and sometimes they have a political agenda, too.

If they are really falsifying reports to make it look like we are winning that needs to be exposed. Sounds like the Lyndon Johnson
