    I agree in parts.

I think the Les Miles style of football can work however, the problem is that like this year, it is 100% clear we do not have the horses to run this smash mouth style he likes. We just dont and injuries have further diminished what we wanted to do.

The Bama O operates, in principle, much like what Les Miles wants to do. Granted they do run a variation of certain plays, but for the most part Bama is a power run first team with ENOUGH of a threat at QB to beat you.

The the QB we have, Les Miles should have changed his style. He didn't and that will forever be his fault. Mett isn't a mobile enough QB for our O and should be used more in a pro style shotgun format.

Though his style of play that he prefers, IMO, is sound.

The difference is like you and many have stated that he has a VERY hard time conforming to his players. He insist on philosophy over players, which is wrong. You must always conform your O philosophy to what players you have and tweak what you must.

We have said it before, you could have Drew Brees, Joe Montana, Tommy Hodson, Timmy Chang, on and on with RB's as well and IT JUST WON'T CHANGE, EVER. Its who he is. It is what he does.

LSU SIU was a member who was convinced that all the worlds troubles would be solved by firing OC Gary Crowton. That was fine, other members felt the same way. But SIU was adamant that he must carry this message to everybody all the time. He would derail every thread into a anti-Crowton rant that got uglier and uglier. He missed no opportunity to rail on Crowton to the point where he just pissed off everybody else on the forum who had other matters to discuss and were tired of hearing the same shit over and over and over and over again. He wasn't getting people angry at Crowton, he was getting people angry at himself and ultimately people were becoming disgusted with the forum for putting up with it.

BRETT wants the forum to be a lightly moderated place where unpopular thoughts can be aired and with no censorship. But SIU took advantage of this to turn the place into his personal asylum. He ignored polite requests from the mods to back off. He ignored pointed threats from the mods and the administrator to knock it off. Finally BRETT had enough and banned the guy.

So, I'm suggesting that becoming a broken record on Les Miles on every thread and offering little else to people who come here to discuss LSU football in its entirety . . . can ultimately be considered troll behavior and subject one to suspensions or banning.

We understand how you feel by now, chief. Believe me. So why not back off a bit before you become a detriment to good discussion on the forum. If enough long-time regular members get upset and the complaints pile up . . . frankly, providing you with a platform to rant and rage at the LSU head coach is not worth losing them. And TF has lost a couple of senior members this year already to disgust at the trolling following the January game.

Who did we lose, Red? I take the off-seasons off here, if you haven't noticed...

    Well said, BTW.

I'm thinking of SabanFan and Okie, but there have been others. Mostly we come here to have fun talking about the Tigers. When it becomes no fun or even a drag . . . people leave.

I might also add that another contributing factor to SIU's obnoxiousness was that if anyone disagreed with his opinion, even in the smallest of particulars, you were automatically a football mental midget and could never scale the summits of football knowledge that he reached.

And every response was ridiculously long, not unlike another certain character who disappeared recently (not saying his name in fear that he may return)...
