Did anyone else think the question to Ricky after the game by the Fox announcer(forgot his name) about Ricky's off the field exploits seem out of place since we had just won the NC? You could tell Ricky was surprised to get a question like that, but I think he handled it with class!
Yes, I did think it was both inappropriate and that he handled it with class. http://www.tigerforums.com/showthread.php?p=721342#post721342 .
Classroom related... I thought it was highly inappropriate. It is unfortunate that when he and his kids watch this video one day they have to see that.
well the way he handled it so well, i think that he will in the future. kudos to him for being forthright and talking about appreciating school. i am so looking forward to seeing him on the field next year!!
So far from the previous posts...... that was the feeling I got from his response. It looked like to me he almost teared up and seemed to be quite moved by the LSU staff(family) that had given him a second chance. To me it seemed that he had seen the light and understood the ramifications of his actions and was indebted to les for helping him through trying times. I think for a young kid in that situation, he could not have answered the question any better.
I agree, the first thing the reporter brought up was that he had been suspended for the first 12 games of the season. Totally unprofessional, nothing I wouldn't expect from the Fox broadcasters though.
His answer was nice and sincere, but the question would've been better in the post-game press conference, not on the stage receiving an award. Does anyone else think that perhaps we don't lose to Arkansas and Kentucky is RJF playing this year?
Definitely an inappropriate question. Hoever, his response really allowed us to "meet" RJF as a fan and learn lot about his character and attitude. Anyone watching that got to see a true and genuine young man that anyone would be proud of.
I remember his determination to come to LSU, against his parents' wishes. He's all purple and gold. I hope his parents are proud of him being awarded the defensive MVP in college's biggest game of the year.
