In the TPY the article said that they expected everyone to be healthy and ready to play except possibly Keiland. They didn't know how bad his knee was yet. Favorite was listed with an ankle, Dorsey-back, Doucet-bruised shoulder. They said Flynn believed he could have played this coming Saturday. Do I believe all of this---no! I wish and pray it is true, but Miles has put up so many smoke screens downplaying injuries that one would have to be a fool not to be a little worried. Hopefully, someone can give us the scoop on the nature of some of these injuries and how severe they are. I know one of our posters believed that Flynn needs surgery. I don't believe that a bruised back or back spasms are to blame for Dorsey missing the 2nd half of a championship game. I was afraid that Doucet separated his shoulder, but hopefully it is just bruised. Did anyone notice if he came back into the game for the final series?
Why do you need to know our injury status? We have over a month to heal. Most will be ready to play, some may not. Miles will not change his policy on injuries. You don't need to know.
If we were playing OSU this Saturday, I would be worried about injuries. But we have over a month to recover, and these are strong young men in great physical shape. I think most of them (barring KW's knee injury, if it is serious--though Beckwith returned two weeks after orthroscopic surgery) will be in great shape for the CG. I wouldn't want to be another team facing a healthy, rested LSU team. Think Va. Tech game vs. the guys for the UT game.
Most fans want to know because it affects our chances of winning the game. You also hope that the injuries are not serious because you are fond of the players and wish them the best now and in the future. Some, have pro careers on the line, so you hope it is not something that will linger and hurt their position in the draft.
That blow Keiland took on his knee in the UT game was devastating. I hope he's back for Jan 7th. If not, I'll be worried about his status for next year. Justin Vincent and Alley Broussard were never the same after their knee injuries.
Well, I just hope theres nothing major. Doesn't sound that way, nothing that time and some rest shouldn't take care of. :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
I listened to Keiland's interview on the radio from the dressing room after the game. He sounded upbeat, positive and excited, but they didn't ask him about his injury. We need him to be healthy. :LSU231: :champs:
The problem lies herein.. When most fans get anything they see as reliable information and post it, nobody believes it. You saw what the paper said, and you said you don't believe it. So now, someone's uncle's brother's sister's cousin's nephew's momma is gonna come in here and give some injury reports, claiming to have a mule on the inside.. and still you won't believe it. Why even bother?
