Alabama was a disappointment. They should have beat the tar out of Colorado. Any Bama fans on here or anyone who knows a lot about Bama? What was the problem? Injuries? Suspended players? Or was it just that they started beating down Colorado so bad that they got overconfident, let it go to their heads, and lost their mental focus?

I edited my post to add: "Or was it just that they started beating down Colorado so bad that they got overconfident, let it go to their heads, and lost their mental focus?"

Think that was it? How did you expect Bama to do before the game?

I was waiting to see if Colorado would score on the last play after the clock should have been run down by a coach with good time management skills.

I can't believe that Major Applewhite doesn't know how to kill 1:29 off of the clock with 4 downs to play with.

What makes you think that? Was it that they aint won a game since October? A home loss to ULM? A thumping by Miss State?
Yeah, they should have beat the tar out of Colorado.

Bama has forgotten how to win. Deep down they don't think they are going to win. When the players say otherwise, it's bluster. It's also some like of skill in certain places. It's not going to change quickly in spite of better coaching. It's going to take some players with different attitudes. Other than the first quarter they played about how I have come to expect them to play.
I would say the good thing I saw from the year was the team played with better discipline. They played harder, took fewer plays off. But they were often confused on what they were supposed to be doing.
Let me contradict myself and say the Dline played better in my opinion than they have played all year. That has been a real weakness and maybe it's a sign of improvement for the future.

Wow! He described me perfectly! I was on the SEC side 45 yard line 20 rows up. Purple LSU coat, gold LSU sweat shirt, and a white "Les Miles" cap! Geaux Tigers Geaux SEC!
