In what world does this make sense?

First of all, I'm happy with the W! Now that I got that out of the way... LSU averaged 1.0 yard per rush today with sacks and muffs included. Our two main backs averaged 2.5 and 2.2 yds. per carry. We ended up with 30 net yards rushing.

Russell Shepard carried the ball FOUR times in the first half for 26 yards and led the team in rushing at the end of the game. He averaged 6.5 yds. per carry and seemed to get many yards pretty easily each time even though every other runner struggled just to make a positive gain at all. Somehow, we don't see him again after about the 6 minute mark in the 1st half. Unless he was hurt, why on EARTH would he not be in the game getting touches in the second half??? He's the only one that appears explosive in the running game at this point in our season.

In the first half we had no running game, St. knew what was coming when RS came in and they STILL couldn't stop him. It's idiotic not to use the guy more. At least put him in there to throw the other team's D off. You know they'll be worried about him no matter where he lines up. That just frustrates me. State was more creative than we were in their offense and looking at the difference in talent, it's a little mind boggling.

I don't care that he's a freshman and all that bull$hit. When you get someone who is super talented like RS, you use him early and often. Otherwise, you end up with an O that needs the assistance of a defensive TD and a punt return TD to win a game where the other team had 4 turnovers.

I'm happy they're 4-0, but we could be so much better (I'm not talking record-wise!). I mean, running Trindon to the short side of the field where there is about a yard for him to maneuver is just not smart. I don't care if they think the blocking might be better on that side. Apparently it isn't too good on either side. These coaches need to help this team out by coaching smart.

    This is Chewbacca[IMG]

Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!

Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this TEAM? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this TEAM! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a fourm poster, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in your living room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed LSU forum, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.

Just shut up. Our coaches are brilliant and are beyond reproach.

Seriously. There are a lot of coaching questions and they aren't doing a good job of coaching these boys fundamentals or utilizing their talent.

We have a chitload of playmakers and instead of getting the ball to them in space, being creative and using them, Miles is still in 1975 Michigan trying to pound the ball with an offensive line that is truly offensive.

Hey, maybe if they would call some screens and quick TE outs the box would open up and we could run more than 1 yard. Nah....that would make too much sense.

How about the issues? LSU looks like dog **** through 4 games against cupcakes.

Do you think LSU should be playing better? If so then you agree with me.

Of course I think they should be playing better. Of course I think we are going to struggle in the coming weeks if we don't start doing better.

But, of course I don't need to go on every single thread on the board and same the same thing over and over again. Of course I could actually have some faith in our team to get better. Of course I can give our head coach who has won 80% of his games a little freaking slack, especially when we are 4-0. Of course I can be thankful that we are 4-0 and haven't lost to the likes of Houston or gotten blown up by Oregon to the tune of 42-3.
