Thank you for posting this and making this forum look classy. We have some great posters. This is just another example of one.
I agree with all that is said in the above post with one caveat that applies to Lee - "Those who don't learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them." I don't doubt that Lee isn't giving his all, but he obviously doesn't get it. I can not remember him throwing the ball away ever. If the play is not there throw it away. Case in point final offensive play of overtime, throw it out of the back of the endzone. You can't tell me that the coaches don't preach this. Flynn and even Jamarcus would throw the ball away. On top of that, he is not an accurate passer - see poor throw that led to pick six. Tolliver was open but he was inaccurate. Now the players that are staring to bother me with their attitude is LaFell and Byrd. Their body language and reactions are terrible. They sure don't help Lee any with inconsistent hands and some miscommunication issues with Lee.
Just because some fans are pissed because it is OBVIOUS that LEE should take a breather does not mean we hate Lee/Miles... I am very disappointed with the season thus far and with all the talent that they have. yes, I love LSU win or lose, but really, you cannot sit there and tell me that Leaving him in time after time does not merit Jefferson the chance. I wouldn't doubt that if miles does not play Jefferson that he jumps ship. Either case, I wear my LSU shirt every Saturday in whatever state I am stationed and Support my team. Still doesn't change the fact that bad decisions are being made. And no, I could not do any better, but that's not my job. The fans here that pay money every week support Miles and his job. We have every right to be pissed with just cause.
As a fan I'm not happy with some of the decisions Lee makes/doesn't make but what am I going to do. I'm certainly not close enough to the situation to know whether Jefferson deserves playing time or not. Often times there's a lot of truth to the old saying "Be careful what you ask for."
Great Post HOSS! I've been to many LSU games in the 70's to present and have endured the very highs and very lows of LSU football. Today was not a low and will rank high in the many LSU - BAMA fights over the decades. LSU "never gave up," even after the chip shot block. The game should have been over right there, but it wasn't. I applaud my Tigers! :geauxtige
Well, I did not buy a ticket and go to the game. But I live in Topeka, Kansas, so it would be an airplane ticket, a hotel and a game ticket. Plus I am attending college to get a Bachelor of Science Education degree for a career change I am making. Plus I am making the career change because I am coming off 7 years of disability. Plus I have never measured my love for LSU by how much money I could or could not spend. I am sure there are many like me, who would love to be at the game but are barred by circumstances. I just know if I had been lucky enough to be at the game I would have applauded the team as it left the field, and I would have understood that whether Jefferson was ready to play or not was not my decision and that either way we have two freshman quarterbacks who need improvement, coaching and most of all support in the place of harassment. And as to "blaming the coaches," the year is not complete for the measure of their performance this year. But I will gladly blame Les Miles for 10 wins every year and a #5, #3 and #1 final ranking. And if this is a "bad" job after those three years, then I will take that four-year cycle for the rest of my life.
Great post, and I agree with you I think everyone should read it too. I think there are some very spoiled Tiger fans here too. He is a true fan But they will Yep I will always believe in my team. :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux:
