Did anyone else notice that the clock did not stop when we made a first down? It was at the end of the 3rd quarter. Right after Bama went up by 10, we made a first down. The clock did not stop, and on the next play, with the clock still running, on first down BYRD made the great catch for the TD. I thought that we really deserved that TD. I immediately called my friend in TN, and he said they were yelling the same thing. I hate to say it was intentional cheating by a "homer" clock keeper, so I will just ask, who keeps the clock? Is it an extra official, or someone hired by the home team? And who decides where he stays (Holiday Inn or 5 star suites), how he gets around (taxi's or limo's), and where he eats (McD's or Ruth's Chris). I love these tigers! They never quit and have nerves of steel! They line up so nonchalantly on fourth and four with the game on the line you would think they were at practice. Wow, they scare the devil out of you too. But is it fun or what? GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!
I didn't notice that, but I did notice the chain gang get caught trying to help Bama, luckily LSU coaches saw it too. They tried to line up with the ball, giving Bama 3rd and 10, when it was really 3rd and 19. The refs got it straight and even announced something about it, but it was just glossed over.
Yup, my buddy and I noticed the same thing about the clock continuing to run after that first down. We also noticed that near the end of the 1st half when we were driving down the field, every time we ran out of bounds, the clock would run for a good 2-3 sec extra before stopping.
There was also a play when we pushed a Bama receiver out of bounds and they kept running the clock. SEC officials need a lot of work.
I,m not whining mind you, but haven't we had to put up with this sort of thing all year long? Man, its getting old!!! The SEC has "GOT" to kick some of these idiots to the curb after this season! :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux:
