Saw that as well. If his supporting cast can perform Detroit may actually surprise a few teams this yr.
Thought Sanchez looked better, imo. Stafford was too risky. He (at least to me) looks like he will make 2-3 real solid plays, but will also have a lot of "d'oh" plays because of his rolling the dice (ala the pick 6.)
I did see the Detriot/Atlanta game and I gotta say I took note of what Stafford did in the game and rate the performance as a solid debut for a rook. I did have to remind myself that Atlanta really had some players out there that may not be 'NFL' caliber and will have a long fight to make the team. Regardless, Stafford made the throws, o-line gave him time and the receivers (Colbert) should have caught more of the passes.
Solid? maybe you guys didnt see the game. Stafford had 3 good throws and 8 bad ones, including a pick six, throwing to the fullback in the flat. A throw most QBs (even bad ones) can make. He didnt impress me at all. Sanchez impressed me.
Think he would have benefitted with another year at USC. Right Pete? Both Stafford and Sanchez are going to be quality QB's in the NFL.
