he was making fun of your previous policy of gas taxes and gas subsidy for trucking industries or whatever. you like to micromanage, take from one and give to another, presumably because you think you are smarter than the market.

yes, i got that part, but its tricky if you mix a sarcastic statement with a serious one in the same post.

    so, all of it?

then i am glad you agree that the jobs taken by immigrants should go to immigrants, because americans wont take them. the market wis working. the immigrants are getting jobs, and we are reaping the rewards of cheap labor.

i should note that another reason we need these immigrants is that they work in a really vital industry, food production, and mostly vegetables, which we as americans desperately need to eat, because we are miserably fat bastards. we already have the government subsidizing unhealthy foods, so we dont need them restricting the labor that provides cheap american-grown healthy foods.

i wont deny it. although its more accurate to say that i like others to micromanage. i dont want to do it and i dont think im smarter than the market, but i think others are.

but i dont see how this is an example of micromanaging.

how do you view them as different from the guest workers that are being pushed? only that theyll probably get paid more (i wonder if they are subject to min wage?)?

i dunno much about the guest worker thing, but i do know i wildly oppose a minimum wage.

if it were up to me i would give immediate citizenship to all farm workers.
