Palin just blew her presidential chances by stating on Bill O’Reilly’s show that she would reward felonious illegal immigrants some sort of path to citizenship if they voluntarily registered with the government.

americans will take the jobs once they pay enough. stop illegal immigrants. this will force employers to pay more and prices will increase accordingly.

Yes. This! But we must first enact some very strict price controls so the price of produce does not skyrocket. Maybe we could just raise a 1% produce price reduction tax and then create a subsidy program so the farmers can pay the increased wages without raising prices.

like i said, we need these immigrants to perform this labor. the cheap labor is great and helps us. supa has properly pointed out the absurdity of trying to regulate this. we need cheap labor, they provide it. if americans wanted those jobs, things would be different, but americans dont work for those wages, we are too rich. and we will stay rich if we let the immigrants come and give us a hand.

    about all of it?

i wouldnt support a subsidy of produce since it doesnt have a large effect on just about every other industry. prices will just go up and we will just eat more mexican fruit.
