LSUGradin99- I love it. I would even stretch it so far to say this much - LSU beats Tennessee WV wins vs Pitt Mizzou loses to OU And the voters have a decision to make ... After last year, do they really want to see tOSU in the NC game? CLM holds a presser after the SECCG and basically pleads LSU's case to the national audience- Two Triple OT losses, SEC Champs and a win over Va Tech We find out Sunday night the final BCS rankings - #1 WV 11-1 #2 LSU 11-2 #3 Ohio State 11-1 #4 Vagina Tech 11-2 #5 UGA 10-2 #6 Kansas 11-1 I know its a stretch, but its NOT out of the realm of possibility. There's been a lot of Ohio State trashing going on in the media.
I believe the resident BCS guru needs to chime in on that. If LSU was ahead of OSU in both human polls, is that possible. while we're talkin crazy.....
Our computer rating is going to improve based on several things - #1 beating 9-3 Tennessee #2 being 11-2 instead of 10-2 #3 if Va Tech wins the ACC, they're record is now 11-2 instead of 10-2 and we beat them #4 La Tech is currently 5-6 and play Nevada this weekend. LaTech winning and would make them 6-6 We may not jump tOSU completely in the computers- we were what .79 in the compter vs tOSU .91 or .92 this past week? If all of these things happen this weekend our computer ranking will close the gap, at least a bit.
Sadly, I don't like our chances against Tennessee. Maybe it will be another OT game. Anything more than a nerve-wrenching victory will totally shock me. I can't describe how happy I'll be if we back into the NC, I don't know if humans can fathom that level of heavenly joy until they are overcome by it. :hihi:
the title of this thread - "Imagine this crazy scenario" .... I think everyone understands what has to happen in order for LSU to play for the BCS NC at this point. I was just adding to the list of crazy scenarios. However, I am not completely ruling out our chances if only Mizzou loses this weekend. If we went from #1 to #7 by losing in triple Overtime at home to R-Kansas, we can surely go from #7 to #2 by beating UT in the SEC championship game. The only ppl that want to see tOSU in the title game are from Columbus Ohio.
I would gladly take him back as a DC. Not as a head coach.....No way. The DC job would even be stretching it for me.
