Yeah, there's a chance it'll happen to a guy that has warmed up properly, and been throwing all day, but I think there's an even greater chance of it happening to guy making his 1st attempt.
I was thinking... I know I know... anyway if Miles were planning on going to michigan would he throw RP off the team??
What would it be about then? Would you know what it is? Was he eating somewhere or gangbangin' or what? How any of that is bigger than winning the games IS beyond my comprehension. Either the actions are bad enough to get suspended or booted, or he should be able to play. I'd almost rather that Miles/Crowton are too enamored with Flynn to see that he's one of the worst first half QBs in the SEC (and in the top 3 or 4 best in the second half), rather than not playing RP some because of some silly discipline issue.
i don't find discipline, especially discipline of someone who has proven to have a behavior problem, to be a silly issue. a player who is not disciplined, especially in this case, may result in a starter who is suddenly not there for you next season because he and county jail have decided to be bedmates. in addition, lack of discipline toward any single player will likely result in discipline problems with other players who ride the edge. no sir - discipline is not a silly issue.
We scored 48 and he played great the entire 2nd half and throughout the OTs. Yeah I wonder if he shoulda kept puttin him out there. Geez.
I didn't realize anything about the shoulder all game long, this is the first I hear of it. But when we had the hail mary attempt, I was screaming for RP to come in and throw it so we would have a chance. But that was only because I didn't think Flynn could heave it 65 yards (bad shoulder or not). But of course we stupidly let Flynn throw it to the 22 yard line.
I agree. However, it is by definition silly if it doesn't warrant a suspension or defined absence (e.g. not playing the first quarter, for a starter.) If his behavior is so bad, then freaking suspend him. If it's an issue that's big enough to warrant not playing him at any point, even when it's obvious that he should play, then he clearly should be suspended for the game. Otherwise, it just leaves us to believe that the coaches aren't actually watching the same game -- every week.
Same here, but then again, haven't you learned from everybody here that THE COACHES SEE THESE GUYS IN PRACTICE EVERYDAY!?! I JOKINGLY told my wife before the play that Flynn wouldn't make it to the 15 yard line. I was able to make this statement despite never having been to a practice. Yet, the "well informed" crew calling the plays decided that a Bluegrass Miracle was our best bet, rather than a legit Hail Mary. And if you watched the Cardinals today, it was obvious that such plays do work from time to time. No, they're refusing to play RP under any circumstance, and I don't know if that means they're taking a hardline with him, or an unbelievably soft stance with him (read: no suspension, just sacrifice the team instead.)
If it was a discipline issue, he would not be on the the team at all. Miles feel that Flynn is his guy and will go with him no matter what.:geaux:
Do you really advocate playing an injured player! At what point would you take him out...after his shoulder is beyond repair? My post was critical of the fact that if his injury is a surgical one, surely his health should be the paramount concern. Geez back at you.
