As someone said...Flynn hurt his shoulder on the last play of regulation. However, he seemed to hurt it BEFORE he was hit...as in during the throwing motion. He was hit after the ball was released, and he didn't come CLOSE to the endzone with it. It was only about a 50 yard pass...but he only threw it about 35 yards...and grimaced as he let it go...before he was hit. I don't disagree about the reason for the locker room visits...(stomach, probably)...but the shoulder injury seemed to be from just throwing the ball.
It's been "Hurting" him for a while now, may have been the straw that broke the camel's back, so-to-speak though.
He ran into the locker room with Dr. Brent Bankston (Orthopedic surgeon) running right behind him. He either had an injection, or had his shoulder manipulated back into place. My guess is - he's got a bad throwing arm as a result of a separation. We may be seeing more of Perriloux in the SECCG.
If it is true that he injured his shoulder and is now a surgical candidate, don't know what to say about the coaching decision to continue to play him!
Well, I also heard that RP had practiced a lot with the first team last week but missed his curfew one night.
Coaches aren't doctors. That's why they have them and trainers on the sideline to advise if players can continue. It's football. Players play hurt all the time. Flynn's performance didn't drop off after the hit. To put that on the coaches is crap.
FYI guys....He hurt it on the two point conversion during regulation. The trips to the locker room were for treatment. Sorry...no runs. :hihi: We should see a lot of Ryan in Atlanta...may, or may not, be a bad thing. We'll see.
It couldn't drop off. He was 0 for his last 9. He did however get better after whatever happened in the locker room.
