As hard as the Tigers have been practicing I have a suspicion that CLM may have a few tricks up his sleeve too. Flamboyance being one of his "small" attributes. I'd be willing to bet we see some plays and formations on both sides of the ball thats gonna leave everyone wondering. Especially OSU. Thats a good thing! I'm very pumped about this game and excited to see what they're gonna throw at them.:thumb:
Gholston is someone to watch. The guy's got like 13 sacks this year. Here are two 20-second clips of plays that had the game announcers drooling over him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yot9ClPvZDg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AyWLtterFA&feature=related
Thats actually a toned down picture...i've seen some ridiculous ones of him (even on with bush oggling him). Watch out for him of course, but also watch out for the youngster Thad Gibbson, starting in place of rose I believe.
Okay, lets have some fun with that as Hawaii as a common denominator. Hawaii played LA Tech and beat them 45-44 ... 1 point LA Tech played LSU and loss 58-10 ... 48 points Hawaii played Washington and beat them 35-28 ... 7 points Washington played OSU and loss 33-14 ... 19 points My calculations we win by 24. HaHa! I wish it was that easy. All in all, I think it will be a very hard fought ball game with LSU squeaking by.
I'm worried about Gholston also, he is a beast and then with their LB's coming into blitz is worrisome also. With the inconsistency of the OL this year it has me worried. At least we have a mobile QB but he also is inconsistent at starts especially if the OL is struggling. Bottom line I'm more worried about the offense even though our defense has been exposed some this year by Arky and UK. The running game must get going well and often. If we have success in running the ball I hope Crowton stays with it. Sometimes he gets too wrapped up in his passing spread offense to get back to just running the ball. I am worried about the OSU running game though. I'm worried they will just run a lot, shorten the game and wear out our DL.
The whole Hawaii beating Washington thing...eh. Remember, God's gift to football, USC, only beat Washington by a field goal
And since we're doing this whole transitive property thing: OSU held Michigan to 91 total yards of O. Fla gave up 524 to UM. LSU was only able to put up 314 against FLA. By my calculations, and I rounded up in your favor , we should hold LSU to 55 total yards of O. Haha, I know, thats ridiculous....funny how little the numbers mean in the end though. Should be a great game!
BTW, if anyone is interested and has DirecTV, the Big Ten Network has been showing the OSU/Miami Championship game... and will show it again today at 4 pm ET. ... might give some insight to how Tressel does things... man, that game was full of errors...
