With the current two-party system, especially in national politics.

Yeah, the debt ceiling debate recently has caught my attention, or should I say the way Washington has handled it has caught my attention.

But it goes deeper than just that. Katrina, the BP spill and what I see as a steady slide by those in D.C. away from the people (us) who are supposed to be their bosses.

I heard about a third party internet based movement on WWL the other day. I don't know if it's the answer; I don't know if it even has a shot; I'm certainly not endorsing it in any way.

    But I think it's worth a look.

Yeah I'm yet to find a party that represents my interests as well.

A third party needs to arise in the middle. But they always seem to arise to the right of the republicans or to the left of the democrats!

I would think that the party system is the problem with government. Some of the founders warned us of this. If we had no parties, no majority or minority leaders and no party first mentality in Washington everything would be better. It's not the constitutional system that's broken, it's the rules and procedures that are corrupting. A complete scrapping of these procedures must take place. Party vs party has destroyed all common sense and bankrupted us.

That's another thing. Make it to where lobbyist have less influence. I don't know how to do that though. Red will probably have some good ways to limit special intrest and lobbyist influence. One of the best thing that could be done is making the potus a six year deal with no reelection and six years max on all congressmen and senators. That would take a lot of reelection money power from lobbyist.

We can make government better answerable to the people and save a ton of money by making lobbyists illegal and eliminating subsidies to oil industry and agricultural industries.
