It's called a lot. Syracuse played less sloppy than LSU and the officiating was poor. That's still no excuse for all the penalties that LSU was actually guilty of.
If you look at that screen shot it looks like he is lined up correctly. Don't look at the imaginary line.
The slot WR is two yards off through LOS. Not sure how close he needs to be, but he's definitely a yard farther back than the tackle.
