So what changed after the Appy St game? Because BEFORE that game it was said that Jefferson would redshirt so between the start of that game and the 4th quarter of the North Texas game which was the very next game, Miles was foresighted enough to allow Jefferson to burn his redshirt when AT THE TIME the problems had not arisen. Or is it possible the guy that has shown the ability to not be the smartest with timeouts made a mistake. What is more realistic? And the "hit" in the State game was far less then the shot he took last night when his hat went flying 5 yards back. I just call it like I see it man!
We were up by 40 points and neither QB had done anything spectacular enough to claim the starting spot after two games. Why not put him in? So because he makes ill advised decisions regarding, he naturally doesn't know how that whole redshirt thing works? Or could it be that since I've been a member here, you've always favored the backup QB? Wasn't the hit. Was an awkward landing on his throwing shoulder. Kinda like what happened to JR in the SEC CG back in '05. That one wasn't a hard hit either. If he missed one or two weeks worth of reps as a guy with only a couple months in the system, then just about every coach in the country would have also considered this year for the kid and applied for a medical.
Your reaching now man. So through the practices and before the first game the coaches had made up their minds that Jefferson would be 3rd and redshirt. And because of the game play of both Hatch and Lee against Appy St and 3 Quarters of North Texas MIND IT games that were played through 2 hurricanes turned everything crazy they said, well these guys are horrible lets burn the redshirt of the 3rd stringer. Really? Dude bra. Is it that hard to imagine? Geauxshow preseason show I backed Hatch and said I thought he would be the single starter all year! My mistake it was the fall that caused the injury. Only if he is seriously hurt, Hatch is hurt and he cant throw it down the field when he is healthy. Lee well I dont need to relive that. If Jefferson is even close to being able to play you have to get him ready. What would have happened had Lee gone down to Florida instead of Ole Miss would have Jefferson magically been healed?
not reaching anywhere near as much as you are with your conspiracy of fake injuries. yeah it is THAT hard to imagine. Huge difference between clock management on the fly in the heat of battle vs knowing the rules when you're sitting in an office with your staff. But hey the guy is an complete idiot. Too stupid to know the rules, yet pulled of this masterful plan of faking injuries to cover his stupidity? And you think I'm reaching? Geauxshow preseason show I backed Hatch and said I thought he would be the single starter all year! What part of this equation do you not understand? His injury was NOT season ending. It did however cost him time in practice. The kid joined the team in August, missed some practice time in September, and you want him to play in October? Seriously? Why does everyone have such a difficult time comprehending that a guy with so little time in the offense was not ready to run the offense? That is not a knock on JJ in any way. Why do people not understand that things like this aren't always apparent in practice either? If Bledsoe doesn't get hurt, the world never even hears of Tom Brady and the Pats probably still looking for 1st Super Bowl title. Why didn't a genius like Belichek notice that top QB in the league was sitting on the bench instead of putting him in the game? Why did Chris Weinke beat out Jake Delhome in Jake's 1st training camp in Carolina? Surely the coaching staff must have noticed that Jake was good enough to bring them to the Super Bowl that year and play like an MVP when he got there. Or whoever that guy was in Pittsburgh that got hurt (Maddux maybe?) to open the door for Roethlisberger? Couldn't imagine Bill Cowher not recognizing who was better. Or Trent Green being the starter for the Rams over Warner until an injury knocked Green out for the year? That coaching staff didn't notice Warner was good enough to set scoring records? But let Les Miles do it, and he's a bafoon that doesn't even know the rules of a game he's been playing and coaching since the early 70's. :rolleye33:
Well, Miles basically admitted what he was doing in a couple of interviews I saw. Pretty obvious JJ had a minor injury that they were planning to use to justify a medical RS. Then fortune forced them to change their minds. Medical RS loophole exploitation is probably very standard practice. Even the reporters seemed to be chuckling about it.
