If we go 12-1 or 11-2, do you think Miles still cans Crowton?

I think he;s still gone after this season. Don't know about a replacement though. They are gonna have to scour for someone.

Those are stats. His record is 9-1 and his team is ranked 5th in the BCS. Stats are for losers. Exactly.

Hell, you make it sound like the 90s were old long ago. Now I feel like an old fart because I remember the 90s.

Let's say the offense never scored a point or gained a single yard and all points came from the defense and/or special teams. Does he still get credit for 9-1? Based on the logic presented, that would be true because the team would be 9-1 and ranked 5th in the BCS.

This would also indicate that Felix Hernandez (Mariners) is a mediocre pitcher. His record was barely over .500 (13-12) even though he had the lowest ERA in major league baseball. Because the rest of his team sucks, that makes him a mediocre pitcher.

Now, if someone wants to argue that Crowton had to deal with bad QB play and WRs who had the drops, then those are valid arguments (still responsible IMO, but valid arguments). But if the rank and record of the team are all the evidence you have, then you really don't have any evidence.

We come out and get bitch slapped by Arkansas, and score less than 10 points, the Alabama game will be forgotten and the "bitch" light will appropriately be lit one more time as we discuss which bowl in Florida we are going to that is not called the Orange bowl. After that, the new OC candidates will have several threads all to themselves.:geaux:

If that happens there will be at least one "Fire Les Miles the idiot" thread and one "all of our wins were flukes" thread.

Get the popcorn ready if it happens.

As a TCU fan, you should know, but LSU knows how to close the deal.

    What?

No I think you're mistaken. MILES can point to the record. The OC cannot be judged by the OVERALL team record.

The OC is judged by *gasp* the Offense. And when you look at the Offense (you know, the thing CGC gets paid to run) it's clear he's not getting the job done.

I'm a teacher with 20 kids in my class. The average grade is a B but I have 2 students that made an F. Does that mean that I should pass the two "F" students because, "My class record shows a B average." NO WAY! Each person has to be accountable.

Football is the same. The Defense wasn't productive under the two headed monster so Miles replaced it. The Offense isn't productive under Crowton, does that mean he should get a a free pass because we're 9-1? NO WAY!
