For Chris Young, he's been great at home but you have to factor in the advantage from playing in a huge ballpark. Comlaining about a pitcher's run support and then praising his home ERA is ignoring half of the picture.
Hudson is finally turning out to be the pitcher the Braves have paid him to be. I still don't think they have enough starting arms to make the playoffs. After Hudson and Smoltz you really have hope for the grace of God and a fast infield.
beltran lit up chris young for 4 rbis i think. great game, walkoff single in the 9th. i was right when i said castillo was a perfect pickup. stunningly cold at the game and all i had was a t shirt (in fact the coldest day in the history of NYC in august, damn climate change), it was torture. forgot my camera, didnt get any photos of this year's cy young.
chris young better get more than 10-11 wins if he wants to win the cy. i am glad the mets won. i figure it's easier to chase the team you're 1 back of, than the team you're 5-6 back of.
AJC reporting braves cut wickman. if soriano hadnt been so horrendous in the 2nd half id make him the closer. likely moylan and soriano will split til dotel returns. http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/sh...8/24/is_getting_rid.html?cxntfid=blogs_braves
I was shocked, but rumor is he was bitching a lot and was a nuisance in the locker room, etc... point blank, he isn't good enough to put up with anything from him, so I am glad to see him go. with that being said, some team may be lucky to get him for the stretch.
likely after the dunn blast in the 12th last night. im sure he and bobby had a nice exchange. he wont clear and the braves will get someone decent for him.
