It most certainly is a very relevant concern about QB play. Some people are just a grouch when there is any criticsm, everything is suppose to be hunky dorey at all times. After saturday QB play is certainly a concern. Thats not good when you have two JR QBs playing like they did. Yes there is a lot of time to rectify problems like QB, DT, and tackling. Im feeling this year will be an improvement from last year. Still, there is a fine line between improvement or the last two seasons.

Actually, considering how poorly LSU's starting QB played, and how much potential there is on the rest of the team that might not be realized if the QB situation doesn't get fixed, I think the discussion has been remarkably subdued.

I was expecting a few more "Fire Miles" and "Fire Crowton" threads. And at least one "Chris Garrett is the savior of 2010" thread.

I think most of the discussion has been fairly ... thoughtful.

I don't have any problem with that! I do hope it doesn't come to that, though. I hope we compile about 250 on the ground...and wear them out...have them on their "heels", if you will...by the 4th quarter. :hihi:

And as far as Sabanfan...he's just an old guy with nothing better to do...leave him alone.

If we can do that, either QB will have enough breathing room to "manage" the game.

I'd say that was from fans trying to deal with two years worth of LSU QB threads. Well half of em anyways, the other half just realizes it is still March. Gonzales just got here and it is the hope that between a steady Oline, a running game and pass catchers catching them passes, that 10% might just come around.

Despite the battle for starting QB, things are actually geauxing in the right direction. I do not see this team being any worse over last year even with SabanFan at starting QB. How much better remains to be seen. I hope this Spring game brought out the worse and sets the stage for proper improvements in all our QB's cause somewhere in all things getting better, we need just a little long ball too.

no i'm talking about dropping one to mississippi state, vanderbilt, or monroe. And no it doesn't happen every season, and hasn't happened to LSU since UAB. The 9 games that LSU lost in the past 2 years, they deserved to lose every one with the exception of the 2 Bama games.

The coaches know what the QBs can do well. In a Spring game they work on the things they don't do well. So, they naturally won't look like world beaters. It's practice. I just can't see getting all worked up over it.

Well that would be horrendous, but we came within 1 yard of losing to Mississippi State last season, and beat Monroe by a TD (cough*Jarrett Lee*cough), so it's not completely out of the realm of possibility.

And depending on which forum member you ask, LSU should have won every game it played last season, since we're the only team who recruits any talent, or has a coach making millions.

I hate when LSU loses, it's terrible. It ruins my weekend, if not my whole week. Then again, it happens at least once or twice to 99% of the teams in CFB every year. If we can get back into that 99th percentile, and become an 11-2 team again, that'd be enough for me next year.

I hope you're wrong about us blowing a game vs. one of those teams, but really it should've happened last year.

If we can't improve with two juniors at QB and in year 2 of the Chief's defense, I'll be pretty upset as well.
