    then why was he reaching for it?

    looked to me like as soon as he got to 12, he was reaching.
    snap happened before he got it out, so we'll never actually know, but it sure looks like his mind was made up before it was snapped.

    That's my point, we cannot assume there would have been a penalty if the ball was snapped. If the clock had run out, he may or may not have thrown the flag. To state that the snapping of the ball was moot is making a huge assumption.

    It's so disturbing that we have to even discuss the possiblity of whether a penalty happened or didn't happen which determined whether we win a game. We've had enough bad experiences with officiating (Auburn PI call) that I don't ever want to rely on that for a chance to win.

    Yes, T-Bob was the center in last year's OLe MIss game.

    THe other offensive linemen have been riding him for a year for not snapping the ball at Ole Miss.

    When he saw thew clock winding down, he told himself, "Not again," and he snapped it.

    At least somebody was thinking.
