It all depends on the concussion which range from minor to damn serious. Dickson suffered a concussion at he ULL game and he played the next week at State.
Dickson was responsive after his. Tebow was layed out like he was in preschool taking a nap on his mat. I think they are leading on about the severity of this concussion. The doctor said it takes a week to grade a concussion.
I think they grade them from something like a I to a IV in severity. They do the same thing with sprained ankles. With those a I would be something like you turned your ankle pretty good & it swells and gets sore. A IV means stretched and maybe torn tendons and requires a cast and sometimes takes longer to heal than a break. I'm guessing Tebow's concussion was more than a I due to the immediate vomiting and taking him off on a stretcher. By the way, did you all read that Meyer went in with Tebow yesterday to take the concussion evaluation tests with him? I wonder which one did better?:milesmic:
If Tebow plays, you stay in nickel and dime to start the game and blitz with speed... force Tebow to run the ball... Hit him enough and he will start to fold. Concussions like that do not go away after just a couple weeks. When he starts getting hit a lot, his noodle will shake loose a bit and he will be off his game...
I got a mild concussion in a car accident coming back from the Florida game in 2002. At the time, I had a part-time job at a call center. I couldn't handle wearing a headset and taking calls for about a week. It was literally hard to think. I couldn't imagine trying to think and move on the field at Tiger Stadium under those conditions...and that was a mild concussion.
I think you maybe spot on. My thoughts are a concussion that knocks you so hard your equilibrium is out of whack so bad you vomit, that has to be pretty serious.
if we defeat florida and tebow didn't play, would it even feel like we defeated them? LSU would get no props for beating a tebow-less gator team. it's all moot because i like tim tebow and i wouldn't want him playing unless he was 110%. it may not matter since UF's backup is better than all the QBs we've faced so far except for Locker. UF's receivers may not be that great, but i'm pretty sure what they do have is better than USL, et al. my point is that UF will still be a very good team and it'll be hard to defeat them with or without tebow. bring on the dawgs! :geauxtige
