Then why aren't amphetamines? Colin is doing an awful lot of talking about adderral and greenies in baseball. We used to take mini thins in high school before games to get amped up, but if steroids is such an issue, why aren't amphetamines?
Remember when that snow boarder tested positive for weed in the winter olympics maybe 2 olympics ago, think he was from Colorado, (big shock). In my opinion, and this goes for Phelps too, if you test positive for pot, and you win gold medals, you should get more gold medals for being able to win with a disadvantage....
so it's not about health? isn't being a professional athlete a job? doesn't this job require that you produce? if health risks aren't an issue with steroids then why are they banned? Why is HGH banned when it's legal? This is how these people make their living. It's like banning coffee in the workplace.
anabolic steroids are illegal. there arent any real long term studies on their use the last i read up on it but when abused the effects are pretty devastating. its just hard to continue to cycle them properly without wanting to do more. and with an athletes competitive nature, almost all abuse it when using. HGH is illegal in the same sense that they can only be had by prescription. both are bad for sports records which old people dont like since record books will be rewritten altogether. and death tolls from abusers is a huge hurdle that martin mentioned why they are not accepted. this doesnt happen much with amphetamines or other PED's currently. in the future we will all be taking hgh and/or some forms of steroids to improve our well-being and quality of life. people will have better health since it slows down the aging process keeping us from decaying as fast. but for now, we are caught in that embryonic stage of knowledge. future generations will likely look back and wonder why we werent more actively involved sooner. but thats where we stand now.
yes. steroids make you a big muscly freak. every insecure girl i know takes adderol for weight loss. its a minor deal. plus steroids ruin baseball by making it way too much about power hitting. that is stupid for so many reason. banning coffee in the workplace would be fine. if you want to start a competing office that allows coffee, go for it. who cares if it is how they make a living? why do you think that is a good point? if steroids are so great they can start a league where all steroids are allowed. a bunch of mark mgwuires can hit 400 homers a season. i will not be watching this, as it would be ****ING BORING and i would hate the fatheaded monsters in this league.
