How we got here may not be relevant. We don't just run over a group because we've beaten them down so bad they won't fight back. In fact, that should be more reason to stand up for them. If we've evolved enough to realize its offensive to those being satirized, shouldn't we do what's deemed right, regardless?
yes you are right, i cant argue with that. this recent thing, where did it originate from? meaning the 2013 season, people got really offended?
Whites are used to being blamed for every other race. This is just new territory for you. I think it's your fault actually.
If everyone would just stop being so fucking sensitive about everything we'd probably all get along........sincerely, White CrackerChick.
The way that Jacksonville is playing is offensive to Jaguars. If I had one I would be ashamed to be seen driving it. The teams owner is Pakistani. Maybe he should change the teams name to the Jacksonville Jewboys.
Much depends on context. Florida State picked a specific tribe and the Seminoles are mostly OK with it. They recognize that it was an attempt to honor them, as cheesy as it was. But the Braves with that ridiculous comic logo and tomahawk chop is mostly insulting to Indians. "Redskins" is just overtly offensive to indians and it will probably be the next to go. It's as bad as calling Southern, the Jiguars. Personally, I think people are too damn sensitive. Some things are just relics of history and we have to live with it. The song "Dixie" is practically banned even though it was not a Confederate anthem. It was played by Union Army bands, it has nothing in it about slavery or the Civil War, and was Abe Lincoln's favorite song. But it upsets some black folks for some reason.
I know a guy who is a full blooded Choctaw Indian. His favorite football team is the Redskins because they are called the Redskins
