If Notre Dame loses, Florida will face the SEC Champ for the national title

    I think they're definitely good enough to pull an upset. They're hungry. Don't underestimate the emotional factor in going a 2nd or 3rd time vs. the first for a group of men. Course, that emotion can also backfire leading up to the game too.

    Regardless, I think ND is easily good enough to beat Bama. They have some quality wins on their resume imo. They'be beat the # 8 and # 12 teams. Bama lost to the #10 and # 9 team had 'em. I know that sounds lame but when you look at each team's wins you can see Notre Dame has done better against top ranked teams in the current rankings- much more valid than mid-season.

    Bama may not get past Georgia.

    Duck fans are scared shitless, afraid Kelly will bolt to the NFL,.. I think it's just a matter of when the right job opens up. Chip did just finish building a big house in Eugene, and he moved his parents from New Hampshire to the Oregon Coast, good signs I suppose. Please convince me the NFL doesn't want him.

    Oh, the NFL is all over Kelly. I thought he was headed to Tampa last year and I'll be hard to convince he talking himself out of going, back into going, out of going, back into going...well, more times than I'm willing to type.

    The notion they'll take him because of his offensive style is a mistaken assumption.

    It's much like the view of Rich Brooks. I've heard quite a few coaches credit him for building the foundation that Bellotti framed out and Kelly finished. Chip just hasn't put the fine crystal in the cupboards yet.

    tusk's an example of what I refer to as the "Dodger fan paradox"..... on one hand,.. tusk seems of sound mind, and shows good judgement by appreciating the greatness which is college football,.. while on the other hand,.. wtf?,.. he likes bama?

    I can't figure it out, but I do know, it wouldn't be as much fun without Alabama,.. and tusk's kinda like the Tide, a necessary evil.

    ...at least for now. I've been working on opening the cafe, but had some setbacks. I should open in about a week....just inspections left and some detail work. We'll have a new name...Cafe Gentilly (not tooo far from the race track) :cool:
