i had no idea wee was gonna be in charge. sweet. a step up from alleva. :hihi"

but seriously, that is my sentiment. change for the sake of change stands a good chance of biting us in the ass. it may not but if it does, it could take a decade to crawl out of the hole it digs.

 At no point have I ever called for CLM's nugget on a platter. I like him, I think he's doing a fair job. I don't want to see him gone. And I think he'll be fine if he can threaten for the SEC West this year, and win it next year.

This started with me saying that LSU, if it had to, could lure a damned good coach because LSU (as a program) has a lot going for it and very few negatives. And deep in his heart of coal and cigarette butts, Nick Saban wishes he was back in Baton Rouge.

not accusing you of wanting Miles gone.
i am saying the odds of us getting a guy to duplicate or better the results Miles has produced is slim to none.
People won't realize this until it is too late.

    Saban ain't coming back.
    so he's off the list.

Holy chit. You are too much. "Saban aint comin' back..."

    Got it!

Good conversation. We just disagree, and I hope to hell (as you do) that we never have to find out who was right - at least not for a long time to come.

    figured you'd like that one.

i'm not gonna say we definitely won't get our guy.

just looking at the past, the odds are not in our favor.
maybe we get lucky like Ohio State did and buck the trend.
maybe we can't get who we want, settle and collapse like the others i mentioned.
maybe we get the guy and he sucks anyway.
maybe we stay right about where we are and everybody still complains.

3 of the 4 possibilities are NOT improvements.

nice play on words, intentional or not.

and i agree. i think that with the right asst coaching changes we can get back to the top. there was a problem with the co-dc thing, and it got changed and the d seems to be headed in the right direction.

then the o fell apart, and one step was made bringing in gonzales. i still believe crowton would have been a gone pecan if alleva had let clm get rid of him.

i want to give a chance for the ship to be righted. if it is, wonderful. if not, well, we will have to take that chance of being within that 25% window of getting it right. i just dont think we are at that point.

i have little idea as to what your post means. everyone is from somewhere. of course fellow sec'ers all hate LSU. only we are objective. bill king is a tennessee guy and pretty damn good.

but seriously, my point stands. take espn writers, fox, anywhere. leave rivals out. the perception of les is much worse than from right here in baton rouge. it certainly doesnt make it true but thats just how it is now.

that was my point. i dont need anymore front page pat forde articles to convince me.

Figured I drudge this topic back to say...

I do not want Butch Davis, Steve Spurrier, or Rich Rodriguez. Might as well have Kiffen with the way things are shaking out. UNC's gonna be UNC lite on September 4th.

I'll go ahead and stick with Miles and a clean program.
