Lets see how Butch does this year, this one should be his. What he has returning on the Defensive side of the ball...........lots of Pro talent.
a few OSU guys tailgated with us that day. they planned on walking around all day but were having too much fun with us. we drained two kegs that day which for us is a pretty high traffic day. someone mentioned to them we were out of beer then they disappeared. we thought they just left....but they returned about 45 min later with 8 cases of beer. it was like the willis reed moment of tailgating. ok here goes coaching...... patterson- all things equal my first choice. many people are citing recruiting as an important part of being the LSU coach but this isn't tenn or ND. there are plenty of La. and east tx kids coming to LSU regardless of who the coach is. you don't have to be a wizard (maybe that's the wrong word) at recruiting just don't piss off all the in state hs coaches.... butch davis- in 2004, my first choice. could maybe be choice 1b with a contingent psych exam/stress test. petersen- is this guy ever gonna take a real job? if so, don't see him coming here. just like... beamer- dude will die at VT....just like.... bud foster- anyone else think he's a lifelong DC a la chavis?? gruden- intriguing.......at least no one said jack del rio yet......damn i just did. tubby- how bout NOOOOOOOOO!!! leach- why not june jones then? any coaches running the wishbone or veer while we're at it?? you know, cuz gimmicky offenses ruled the last decade.......right?? muschamp- sure why not, but it won't happen pelini- put me down in the "our defense was in a downswing towards the end" camp. mike riley- a more plausible "intriguing" mike sherman- no thanks nick saban- i'm not afraid to say i would take him back
327, you forgot about Toledo . I bet Drew Brees would make a great coach...everything about this guy is great...including his character. When he retires, he'd be my no. 1 choice even with no experience.Saintslogo
