If Les Miles decides to stay at LSU now instead of going to Michigan, would everyone agree that he won't be choosing to leave LSU barring retirement/firing? This seems to be setting up as the best time for him to leave LSU and for his alma mater. If he turns this down, I don't see what situation would ever having him choosing to leave. What say you?
More than likely it will be publically stated that they didn't even offer him the job, IMHO. He and they will say they were coming to him for advice. This way he doesn't have to insult UM publically by turning them down.
I think Les sees LSU as his own Michigan. He will never be a legend at Michigan, that is reserved for Bo Shembeckler (spelling?) He could however, be LSU's Bo.
That would be disastrous. For one thing, they don't need permission to meet with him for advice. Further, he surely didn't hesitate to publicly turn 'em down last time. One of his MOST remembered sound bites and that says a lot. just my .02. Have a GRRREAT DAY.
