I absolutely 100% agree with you. Goes back to what I mentioned about designing an offense that fits what limited skills our QB has. That's what good coaches do.
Of course, you're right Stacey, but I actually think Mett does better with last year's team then this one. He would have had a dominant O-line that could protect him and given him time to throw, plus receivers that could actually catch the ball.
Here is my take: Mett plays like a freshman QB in the SEC. I have no idea what goes on in JC, but I bet he had plenty of time to pass the ball. Mett will improve, as will the rest of this injury ridden young team. Who knows what will happen in TS two weeks from now. I just know I am flying down from CO to see it in person! GEAUX TIGERS!! KEEP WINNING!!
If we had Reuben Randle out there this year, it would make a HUGE difference for our passing game. But, instead, he's off in the NFL and wagging his tongue all over Twitter about our coaching staff.
Just to give everyone a little perspective, over on the aTm boards, they're b!tching about how sh!tty Manziel is. Even though he's a redshirt freshman starting his 6th game. I'll take that kid all day long over our current QB. And, in SEC game of the day (SC v FU), Conner Shaw has been pulled for SCs backup. It made absolutely no difference, but I like the fact that Spurrier is at least trying to create a spark with new blood. I wish we could see what Bolden or Rivers could do when our O is struggling so bad. I not saying to put them in for the entire game. Put them in for a series or so and see what they can do. If it doesn't work, fine, at least we know.
You mean they are butt hurt and Johnny Football is no longer a heisman trophy winner? That is sooo funny and sooo Aggie like. The kid is good but he won't be a starter in 2 years. He will be hammered so much he won't last. Chief showed how it is done and the spread will never win the conference. It is a pretty scheme but there are always either off days or it meets a D like LSU and is ground to a halt.
