I've been saying this since our early wins, in every relevant thread. Now, eleven wins deep into this stellar season, we have seasoned players, unimaginable and awesome depth (our true "magic") and that most elusive and precious mix of coaching, venue, fans and a team without a Capital "I"--a team that steps up and plays with power and swagger, but without the burden of a few key, egotistical players who, if injured or selfish or petulant or not 'up' for a particular game, would cause their team to be in dire straits.

Oh, true--we have our individual stand-out players (really, too numerous to mention here--it'd be like reciting half of the roster), but no one sacrifices the team or the win for the sake of increasing their own stats. LSU does not need a 'Showboat,' and we are so much the better team for that.

    "Epic.....Legendary.....Historic.....Season (Team)!"

This article is nice, but it's littered with backhanded remarks throughout, keep doubting.

True! Critics believe in a "Law of Averages," which tries to say that every team eventually meets its match. Any Probability & Statistics guru knows, however, that there is no such law!

If LSU keeps playing to its potential, there will be more than enough talent and strength to carry us through to the BCSNCG with an unblemished record.

In the past 7 years, Auburn has gone undefeated twice, and Bama once.

Why not us this year? :)

Well, if we win out, in addition to being the first team to win 2 NCs in the BCS era, we would now be the first to win 3. If we win out, we would have beaten NINE ranked opponents, including two #2s (ALA and whoever we would play in the BCS CG, who, by definition, would need to be ranked #2), and two #3s (Oregon, ARK). We would have to confirm, but I gotta believe no other team has beaten 9 ranked opponents in one season on their way to the NC. The opponents ranking at the time we played them (actual rankings may vary based on poll, best rank included here) : #3Oregon, #24MSU, #14WVU, #15 FLA, #20AUB, #2ALA, #3ARK, #10-12 UGA (SEC CG), #2 ranked team in BCS CG.

    Unbelievable if it happens!

If LSU beats Arkansas, Georgia and then Alabama handily, LSU would have to be considered the best college football team ever.

    LSU 41, Arkansas 17
    LSU 34, Georgia 10
    LSU 27, Alabama 13

Anybody else with me on this?

because never has anyone played a schedule quite like ours

Not saying we won't win out, just saying why there is some doubt with critics

I'm with you all the way! Although my prediction for this Friday is 38-17 Tigers. Haven't thought about scores beyond that.
