Possibly, but in all probability, at some point we are going to have to rely on QB play to win at least one game on this schedule. Ball control offenses like LSU's work great when your defense plays lights out. What happens when we find ourselves down by 2-3 scores and need to put points on the board in a hurry? One of those three guys will have to step up, and try as he may, it might not be Lee.

I never heard CLM iterate this promise. Did I miss something?

There never was an official promise, but when Les was recruiting Zach M from the JOCO and kinda navigated him from other schools, he said something in a phone call pretty much like "I need you to come to our school to be our starting QB next year..." which has been confirmed by Zach M in a previous interview. I am not saying Les has to keep his words even if JJ makes it back next year because he never foresees these chaos. Yet it will hurt how Zach M looks at CLM for sure.

This is also my biggest fear, which is most likely to screw up the rest of the season. Les is good guy and he never fears to show his loyalty against public opinions. Sometimes you have to admit that having emotion is the biggest obstacle between you and success.

Easy....Whether JJ is reinstated or not he has to practice and earn his starting job back.

JL.........MET.......Then JJ. Period. JL desreves his time as long as it is not broken do not fix it.

If you believe that Krags helped JL improve and JJ was his "project" since the spring, then shouldn't we expect significant improvement from JJ?

In the end, JJ has to come back to practice, get back in the groove and win back his position whether it's 1, 2 or 3 -- only time will tell.

On the contrary, hasn't Lee shown in the previous games last year in being able to bail the team out???

As long as JL is winning ball games and doing what the coaches put before him, I don't care what potential JJ held before the season as Krags project. ... nor am I interested in him "winning his position" back in practice. JJ's always looked good in practice ... it's in the games where he falls apart. Like I said, it's a "mental thing", .. has nothing to do with how great he does when it doesn't matter.

Stud made a very significant comment after the MooST game ...

"Lee is also frequently checking out of plays and switching to others on his own without checking with the sideline before the snap.
"He's making the right reads," Studrawa said. "He did that a lot in this game."

That is what JJ couldn't "appear" to do. Not saying he can't ... just that it didn't appear he could. That's mental. That's the "look" I always reference .. that "'I'm so confused" look that JJ always gave the sideline. That is what has made the LSU offense look like an impotent circus for the last two years.

Yup .. Lee's only problem was he lacked confidence .. and that was dircectly related to the lack of confidence that CLM had in him. That is what kept him from performing consistently.
