I would have the following goals.

    1. Shep would get a minimum on 10 touches per game, and a series or two spread throughout the remaining games where he played QB. I don't think he will ever be a QB in this league, but it won't hurt to see what he can do.

    2. Ridley would carry the load at TB. at least 50 carries over the next 3 games. Then even more if Scott isn't ready for the bowl. If he is we let him play, we owe it to him.

    3. Reuban Randle and Deangelo Peterson should get at least 5 passes a game thrown their way.

    4. Ryan Baker, Mo Claiborne, Josh Downs, Chase Clement, and any other freshman that has burned his redshirt would get much more than special teams play.

We might as well get these guys as much experience as possible.

Also I would empty out the attic when it comes to the play book. I would throw everything I had out there to see what works and what doesn't.

What in my post would you consider screwing things up?

I am asking a direct question to you to see if you still have any football discussion left in you.

I think you have to decide who your backup QB is, and get him ready to play if JJ goes out for a while. I still don't think I know what JL can do, since he never got game speed playing time this season, ok a quarter against Tulane? If they have seen enough of JL and he is not the guy, is it Shepard, or do you have to go to Chris Garrett. I'm thinking if they haven't gone to Garrett yet, they won't, we'll try to get through the year with JJ and JL. We're not playing for a West Crown anymore, no need to take drastic action now.

I think the last thing you want to do is burn a redshirt on Garrett. I think he's the next coming at QB but we still have JJ for at least another year. Not saying I think he leaves early, but I don't think a redshirt freshman is beating out JJ next year. I would honestly prefer then to work up RS into the mix at QB, but I think the coaches know something we don't about his QB play ,and that's why we haven't seen him throw
