Defender on this team that has even a decent shot of getting drafted in the 5th round or higher, I'm leaving. No way if I'm Minter, Mingo, Montgomery, Reid, Simon, or Logan am I going to come back to be left on the field all day and risk my NFL career by having to play more snaps, and risk injury, while the offense does nothing.

Thank you for coming to play at LSU guys, you had great careers, now go Pro before they get stopped before they even start. 100 offensive plays for Clemson last night. 100.......

Id agree if Id leave if Im a first rounder but Simon and Logan are third rounders, they would do better to come back. As painful as that sounds. If I were Mingo, Montgomery, Reid, and possibly Minter Id be good as gone.

Dude, for 3 seasons these guys have had to do EVERYTHING for this team with NO HELP from their offense. Why risk their bodies anymore than they have to. 100 plays Tap, 100 plays.

Hearing Minter is gone for sure, also hearing Beckwith is a lock, for what what it's worth.

Reid will need to sign a nice, fat contract to pay all of the fines the NFL commissioner is going to send his way.

I don't think he has a choice now with where he could be projected and Ray Lewis retiring. Te'o will be off the board, so if Baltimore is thinking linebacker, which they will need now, it could be between Ogletree and Minter. He played his way into a first rounder and I'm happy for him. There's really no reason he shouldn't be picked before Big Sam and Keke, but teams love their pass rushers.

Would have liked to see what Tahj Jones and Minter could do together with a full season, but damn sure can't fault the kid.

Most 5th rounders get around $2.5M over 4 years. But you have to remember thats not clear money. Now last year Mo got $16.26M and Brockers $9.52M both were over 4 years. 5th rounders 2.5 is good, but not great money. Thats why most come back.

4th and 5th rounders do not always make the team in the NFL. Competition is brutal versus NFL veterans. 1st and 2nd rounders always make the team. If you are topped out in talent and technique and will always be a 5th-rounder, might as well leave early and take a chance. But if you are a 5th rounder with upside . . . it pays to stay that year and make a 2nd-rounder out of yourself.

All may be leaving but not for this reason.

    Wing
    Mingo
    Montgomery
    Minter
    Ware
    Simon
    Reid

Mingo and Montogemry and even Wing knew this was there last season before it started. Minter's stock is too high to not go imo. Reid should be in this category as well. Logan's stock might be too high to stay as well.

Ware and Simon school and financial reasons. Wing is in this category.

Ford may be on the fence along with Logan but I think Ford he knows his stock will only drop. Logan is the one with the chance to increase his stock somewhat but could be risky and I hear financially he may be in a hurry. Simon can't afford to have another year like this one either.
