....JJ never would have got back his starting job after the way Lee led the team without him. 2 quarterback system at best, but JL won the strating job on the field IMO and JJ lost the starting job off the field. 2 bad throws on Nov 5th should not have benched JL for the rest of the season. We may have lost the Nov 5th game with JL playing it out, but maybe we would have had the revenged factor going into last night's game instead of Bama and probably a better offense.
Ok, here is my theory. In 1989 Les Miles was the offensive line coach for Michigan. There was an offensive lineman on that team by the name of Warde Manuel and a running back by the name of Leroy Hoarde. Warde Manuel and Leroy Hoarde told Les Miles of some young talent in their home city of New Orleans, as Manuel attended Brother Martin and Hoarde attended St. Augustine. While on a recruiting trip to New Orleans to check out these players Les Miles met a young lady named Elaine. They struck up a conversation and ended up sleeping together, and Elaine became pregnant. 9 months later in August of 1990, their son, Jordan was born. In order to keep this quiet, Miles made a promise to Elaine that one day, when Miles had a coaching job, young Jordan would be his quarterback. If not, Elaine would spill the beans to Les' wife.
When you guys were growing up playing sports, who was the one kid on the team that always got a pass no matter? The coaches son.
It definitely makes a hell of a lot more sense than not giving JL a shot last night. Even the Bama fans around me couldn't believe their eyes every time JJ trotted onto the field in the second half while JL watched. The mystery of why JL was tossed aside and the love affair that Miles has with JJ will go down as a mystery as big as Bigfoot or the missing link. I've yet to hear a reasonable, credible explanation.
