Guess LSU looked west and saw that UL already has one on campus... they have the most horrible parking experience imaginable... nothing like parking then taking a bus to class...
I would assume LSU's would be close to where most park already, which would only improve the situation. A lot of schools have the bus system, which is great in theory and nice for walkers around campus...but it adds another fifteen to thirty minutes to your commute.
I remember getting an email when they closed the CEBA lot this semester that they would have buses at the lots adjacent for people to ride to CEBA. I saw the signs they put up as "pick-up spots" but not once did I actually see a bus or van or anything come by.
Great thread..... and I like a lot of the ideas that have been brought to the table. For me, the OOC home & home series with a BCS school would be great. I'd prefer someone in our same region; i.e. Tex A&M or Texas, or one of the service academies. Again, lots of great ideas guys.... :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I would get drunk and attempt to sleep with cheerleaders. Note: While I have tried this tactic many times, I may actually be successful as AD. ...probably not.
In the world of fantasy where an AD's one-day tenure would be made reality, I'd enlist the services of a futuristic designer to: 1. Increase the size of Tiger Stadium and make it a monster that could seat almost 125,000. 2. 10,000 lottery tickets would be given away for each home game for those who couldn't afford season tickets and single ticket costs. 3. ALL FULL-TIME STUDENTS would receive tickets on a pick-up basis 4. Student section would be increased 5. Modernization and refurbishment of the entire lower west side dormitory to include and extension "tunnel" to the Athletic building with an adjacent large "tower" complex that would cover most of the west side and rise well above Tiger Stadium containing very nice offices, restaurants, bars, and connecting into the upper levels of very nice suites and party rooms, where one could have an amazing experience including a nice lunch or dinner any day and "look down" into Death Valley, even on gamedays. 6. Electronic boards the size of the largest in Times Square, making a visit to Tiger Stadium 7. Get stinking drunk with CLM and the boys and call it a day:milesmic:
Most are empty, some are used for storage. They are hazards and eyesores, but they hide the worse eyesores of the old ramp areas. The whole lower bowl will have to be replaced soon.
You are seriously passionate about replacing the lower bowl. Do you own a stadium construction company or something? :thumb:
