Where I work, most Bama fans are pulling against us, not sure why. I think they want us to win but are too arrogant to admit it. Ever since they got Bear Saban as a coach and had ONE decent season, they have become totally wrapped up in themselves. The Auburn fans want us to win.
When LSU plays Florida in football, would you rather beat an 0-5 Florida team, or a 5-0 Florida team? If Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss lose every game they play, that doesn't do much for LSU's program.
What does that have to do with me pulling for them to win? I do not want them to win. Of course they will get their wins on their own. Without me cheering them on. You see, I can't affect the outcome of their games. You act like we can help out LSU's program by pulling for SEC teams and thus willing them on to victory. I can watch the games, or check their scores, without ever pulling for them. If they win, then good it helps us when we beat a team that has more wins. But I am not going to suddenly start liking them for a few hours each and every time they have a game. I pull for LSU. I cheer for LSU. I want LSU! to win.
I didn't know we were talking about regular season too. They can all go to hell in the regular season for sure. Not everybody is going to go 0-5 in the SEC anyways.
<--- rooted for Fla in nat'l championship game in football last year. Of course that was the only time I cheered for them.
Likewise for me and Auburn. Despite the SEC ties, I just don't see myself EVER pulling for Auburn. EVER!!! Other than the Barners...Geaux SEC!!!
ya know, i never really gave a damn about stoops, but when we played them in the BCSNCG in 03 and he said that crap at halftime about them having the better defense than us, i have hated him ever since.
