I cheer for the SEC when the outcome no longer affects LSU. So UF vs UT for the NC? Definitely.

I can honestly say that I would pull for any other SEC team, except Ole Miss. I cannot and will not EVER pull for Ole Miss.

I have a hard time pulling for Florida with Erin Andrews on the sidelines. We, Tiger Nation, have worked incredibly hard to convert her. She is one of us now and I'd just as soon keep it that way. Objections? No. Thank you.

I live in Texas and there is no doubt that I would cheer for the SEC. During the game last night, the editor of our newspaper and I were texting. She is a GA fan. She was cheering hard for the SEC.

Last year, my wife and I went w/ her and her family to Omaha. We cheered w/ them for GA and they cheered w/ us for LSU.

Heck, this year I even cheered for Arky in their first game. Gotta admit that that was kinda weird though! However, tons of Arky fans cheered for us in our first game.

It really is all about the SEC. :)

which is what was being chanted by lsu fans and the team after we won the nc game in football in 07.

i think most lsu fans have a strong conference pride and would be cheering for florida. i know i would.

No, absolutely not. I have seen Florida win enough championships.

I always pull for the SEC. I want all SEC teams to be winners.

Otherwise you end up with one good team in your conference and nine teams that don't amount to squat (Reference: http://www.pac-10.org/).

I know it's the right thing to do to cheer for other SEC teams, but I struggle with it at times because of my sheer hatred for certain teams and fan bases. But it's weird because it only seems to be confined to football.

Take Alabama for instance. If they were playing in the CWS for a national championship, I would have no problem going for them. If their playing for a BCS title in football, my head tells me it's best for the conference and LSU if they won, but my heart would make it very difficult for me to do that.

Does anyone else have that type of internal conflict going on?

I used to live in Austin, so in this instance it's hard to say. I'd probably root for Texas b/c I lived there.

As far as Bama goes. I HATE Alabama. I will NEVER root for Alabama.....ever.

Any other SEC schools will have my support.

Definitely, it does seem to matter which sport is playing. As much as I hate Florida, lived there and in-laws are from there, I would still be pulling for them though.
