I think O has managed the team well. He's acting as CEO and allowing the coordinators and position coaches to do their thing. Ya can't argue with the results to this point, but for some reason I'm not convinced he can be a long term success. It feels like an unfair assessment but it is what it is. Say Aranda leaves, can O hire one of the best DCs in the business? Can he even evaluate coaching talent? I don't know. I think the jury is still out on O as a head coach.
EXACTLY how I feel. I just don't think he is the long term answer for LSU and I worry about where the program will be 3 or 4 years from now.
This is Eaux's second run as an interim. After his last experience, it's hard to imagine he would stick around without some sort of contractual guarantee that he gets the gig if he satisfies a specific set of requirements.
