I don't see it happening any time soon. As for wearing LSU colors, I've said it before it's kinda amazing the difference in perception between LSU fans and non LSU fans. All that I have encountered have nothing but great things to say.
You know its a double edged sword. If you win championships, expectations are high, you attract big dollars, and big spenders, sucking up all the tickets and raising the prices of everything. More and more we are finding that its really hard for the common man to get into the LSU games unless you know someone with tickets or can find some for face value, or if you want to spend 200 bucks for a ticket. I remember when i first started going to LSU games in the late 70's early 80's, my grandpa who wasn't rich by any means, would take me and about 4 or 5 of my cousins to LSU games, and it was different. It seemed like it was more of a family environment, with respectable, great fans, now it seems more like an abercrombie and fitch commercial that was made by an LSU graduate. If LSU keeps up this 4 loss trend, it may be a good thing because all the fair weather fans, and trendy kids will stop coming, ticket prices drop and we will see Death Valley return to its glory. But...... who wants 4 loss seasons?
Made it to BR in the 70's barely got out with my life. Of course it might have been something I said.
I wore my LSU ball cap out of state over the holidays. The only person who said anything about it, asked me how LSU was going to do next year. I told him were were going to win the College World Series and be back to back National Champions again.
I would bet anything if our offense ranks 110th again next year gary crowton and our o-line coach is gone regardless of what our ticket sales are doing. If that happends Les miles will be on the hot seat also! i really dont see our offense being as unorganized and pathetic like it was this past year. I was expecting alot better showing for the P-state game expecially with all the extra time to prepare and that didnt happend!
