If he left for Michigan, or anywhere else for that matter, I would feel anger most of all. Once I came to my senses, I'd realize that him leaving LSU means he didn't care about us, so why should I care enough about what he does to be angry. After those feelings were dealt with, I'd go with C- Depends on who replaces him.:geaux:
:geaux: I don't think it happens, but if it did I'd have to go with C. If he left he no longer cared for LSU and "stuff" happens. The "Happy" or "Sad" part would definitely be dependent on who the replacement was. But again, don't see this coming about right now but you can never say "never" in the realm of college coaching. :LSU231:
Ditto I disagree, If he left for Michigan it wouldn't be because he didn't care for us. It would be because he left for his dream job, Michigan Alum and was taught by his mentor. I honestly don't think he would leave LSU for any other job. I am sure he isn't another ______ and I am glad about that.
I would agree with if he hadn't already turned Michigan down. And in the year of that first refusal, Michigan was hardly a bad team. I know it's his Alma Mater, but given the state that it's in with Rich Rod scandals and recruiting, I only see it as him giving up here if he goes. He would be going into a situation where, though he's at his dream job, he would have to suffer the problems created by Rich Rod, and spend at least two seasons getting them out of their rut. I believe we're one season away from another :crystal:, so if he left that possibility for everything I just talked about, I take that as a sign of not caring. But, as long as he's here, he has my support:miles:
:geaux: IMO, if CLM went to Michigan that would be the classic "jumping from the frying pan into the fire" type of scenario. He would not be going to a better situation there, unless it was just a desire to "go home". The program at UM seems to be in shambles and getting worse under RichRod. The pressure for immediate results could prove to be as much or more pressure than he is currently under at LSU. The program there is not as strong as LSU's currently is so I don't see him going there. But as I previously said, you can "never say never" when it comes to college coaches making moves. :LSU231:
:geaux: Agree that Harbaugh would be a great candidate for that job. Michigan-Man who is doing wonders at Stanford. Wouldn't be surprised if that ends up happening at some point. CLM probably lost his chance in '07. :LSU231:
I think that's much more likely. Harbaugh is doing well at Stanford. Given an opportunity to coach at a big school, I think he'd be a good choice:tigereye:
