does he deserve some credit? I mean we are all pretty harsh on Alleva and have no faith in him what so ever, so does this buy him a little leeway if he can retain our coach?

I'll give him credit when he invents a time machine, goes back, and handles the Duke Lacrosse scandal properly. Screw Alleva.

    a little.

but his actions after are gonna mean a lot too. he needs to start supporting his coach, not just be good at contract negotiations.

yes, we should expect a lot from our program, but it needs to be reasonable. i havent seen any support from alleva against the unreasonable expectations. when a coach is on the hot seat at 8-0, you would think the ad could stand up and say something about good season and damned strong coach up to that point, instead of hiding under his chair cause he's afraid of offending someone with money. course he was also under the chair cause he was on his knees to begin with....

I'm hard on him when it comes to not supporting a very productive employee. I hope Miles gets more control over the football program.

Alleva may be a great AD when it comes to the swim team, the gymnastic team, Baseball, etc.

    Let him administer that stuff.

Alleva = SIU, MLU, islstl, Kal-el, etc., etc.,...

"OK, I like him now but I'll turn on you in a New York minute..."

:geaux: I'll give him a little credit if Les stays. But as Okie said, he needs to grow a pair and stand up for his coach when necessary which is the fair & right thing to do in the first place. :LSU231:

Les is in the catbird seat and the negatigers can't stand it.

You miss the point. Les is going to do what LES wants to do. Les wins.

:geaux: Link? Is that the negatiger coming out in you?

Also, I'd say the longer this goes on the better it looks for LSU. :thumb: Only three weeks left before NSD and Michigan's class is already in the crapper. They've had several of their commits decommit and some have committed to other schools already. Hell of a situation for a coach to step in to with the program in general & the current recruiting class in disarray. :rolleye33: Not much time to put a staff together either.

I think Les is getting what he wants from LSU. :LSU231:

Fortunately, you are wrong. Miles will be staying at LSU. Sorry, you have to put up with him continuing to win 10+ games/season and winning the occasional SECC and MNC every 3-4 yrs. He may not do it pretty, but he does get er done.

If he were to go, you might think that a win, but in reality you lose.
